6-Month Contract | Remote | $100–$120/hour | ASAP Start
We’re supporting a fast-growing Fin Tech organisation delivering a large-scale migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and governance of a secure, scalable cloud platform as part of a critical transformation programme.
This role will sit at the centre of the migration initiative, providing architectural leadership across infrastructure, applications, security, and Dev Ops practices.
🚀 What You’ll Be Doing- Define and own the target-state cloud architecture on GCP
- Lead architecture design for cloud and application migrations
- Establish scalable, secure, and resilient platform patterns
- Design Infrastructure as Code frameworks using Terraform
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and delivery teams
- Ensure governance, compliance, and cloud best practices are embedded
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex cloud challenges
- Proven track record delivering cloud migration or platform modernisation programmes
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security architecture
- Experience designing Kubernetes / GKE-based platforms
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Ability to balance strategic design with hands‑on technical validation
- Experience operating in regulated or high‑availability environments
- Experience in Fin Tech or regulated industries
- CI/CD strategy and Dev Ops operating model design
- Cloud cost optimisation and Fin Ops exposure
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect)
- Rate: $100–$120 USD per hour (DOE)
- Duration: 6 months (strong likelihood of extension)
