Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Ensures correct Bill of Materials (BOM) setup for complex, multi-level products containing thousands of components.
- Coordinates activities between the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Master Data Management (MDM) teams.
- Assists with NPI communications for planning and datea setup.
- Coordinates Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with Engineering and Operations.
- Reviews planning master data for accuracy and executes Master Data Management (MDM) corrective actions for any system data errors.
- Supports internal teams (such as Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations) in resolving master data and BOM issues.
- Identifies and resolves BOM problems to minimize work interruption.
- Good knowledge of complex BOM structures, routing, and material master data.
- Good understanding of the ECO process and NPI workflows.
- Knowledge of MDM processes and enterprise computer applications (ERP/PLM systems).
- Good understanding of internal customer requirements, specifically between Engineering, Planning, and Operations.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex master data problems and process audits.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal departments.
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Two to four years relevant experience
Typical Education- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
