Job Description:
The Sr. Access Management Technician supports Elevate's identity and access management (IAM) program by provisioning, modifying, auditing, and revoking user access to systems and applications. This role works closely with business stakeholders, Human Resources, IT, and Information Security teams to ensure users have appropriate access needed to perform their job duties while protecting company information assets. The Sr. Access Management Technician demonstrates strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to thoroughly evaluate access requests, identify inconsistencies or potential risks, recognize patterns and trends, and develop appropriate solutions while ensuring compliance with security and governance requirements.
This role also supports the development of junior technicians by providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and training on access management processes and best practices.
- Create, modify, and disable user accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Process access requests for applications, network resources, shared drives, and cloud services.
- Ensure access approvals are obtained and documented before provisioning.
- Perform user onboarding, role changes, and offboarding activities.
- Perform application onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Provide support and documentation for periodic access reviews and internal/external audits.
- Create and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior technicians on access management procedures, tools, documentation standards, and issue resolution practices.
- Identify, remediate, and provide escalation support for complex access issues and conflicts.
- Provide support in the design and implementation of access workflows and processes.
- Review, evaluate, and investigate high risk access requests.
- Provide after-hours support when necessary.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in identity and access management or other end-user technical support discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with managing users and security groups in Microsoft Active Directory and Entra .
- Understanding of IAM concepts and technology such as role-based access controls, least privileged access, privileged access management, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication.
- ITIL Certification, Azure Certification, IAM software, and/or experience with Service Now is a plus.
- Experience working in an environment with access management controls based on SOX, PCI DSS, and SAS 70 principles is a plus.
