Job SummaryThis role is responsible for providing advanced support to the department’s data governance, knowledge management, and records management and archives activities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Supports the college’s data governance program and contributes to the development of data standards, policies, definitions, and stewardship practices
- Provides administrative and technical support for departmental projects and initiatives, such as project management, scheduling meetings, communicating with stakeholders, conducting research, and preparing summaries and reports to support decision-making
- Collaborates with IT, data stewards, and business stakeholders to implement data standards and improve data quality, accessibility, and consistency
- Assists with management of the knowledge base by reviewing submitted articles, ensuring standardization, auditing current articles, soliciting new articles, and maintaining metadata
- Promotes the use and adoption of data governance and records management best practices through communication, training, and outreach activities
- Assists with Archives activities, including processing, preservation, digitization, and promotion of archival records and special collections, and maintains related inventories, metadata, finding aids, and descriptive documentation

Service Excellence- Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

RequiredMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and one (1) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Library/Information Science or similar fields
- At least one (1) year’s working experience with metadata schemas, ontologies, and digital stewardship tools
- At least one (1) year’s working experience working in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or other data governance, data management, information management certifications
- Records Management Certification
Skills and Abilities
