The Data Management Specialist I is responsible for supporting the collection, validation, organization, and maintenance of enterprise data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. This role assists in managing data systems, performing routine data quality checks, and supporting reporting and analytics efforts. The specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data standards are followed, resolves basic data issues, and helps maintain documentation of data processes.

This role requires strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a foundational understanding of data management practices. The Data Management Specialist I contributes to maintaining reliable data assets that support business operations, decision-making, and compliance requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Collect, input, and maintain data across systems ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

Perform routine data validation and quality checks to identify and correct discrepancies

Assist in the standardization and governance of data according to established policies and procedures

Support data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment activities to improve data integrity

Monitor data workflows and escalate issues related to data inconsistencies or system errors

Maintain and update data documentation, including data definitions, processes, and guidelines

Generate basic reports and data extracts to support business operations and decision-making

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance, IT) to resolve data-related issues

Support system migrations, integrations, and data updates as needed

Adhere to data security, privacy, and compliance standards in all data handling activities

Assist in identifying opportunities to improve data processes and efficiency

Provide basic support to end users on data-related inquiries and tools

Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred

Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered0–2 years of experience in data management, data entry, business operations, or a related role Internship or academic project experience involving data analysis or data handling is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data validation)
Familiarity with data management systems, CRM platforms (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce), or ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) systems preferred

Basic understanding of databases and data structures; experience with SQL is a plus

Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND
