Position: Property Adjuster - Inside (Trainee) - Dallas Fort Worth, TX

Inside Property Adjuster – Trainee – Hybrid – DFW, TX

A Moderate Inside Property Adjuster provides exceptional service to policyholders. Working in a hybrid environment, your primary responsibilities involve virtually inspecting damages, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and accurately. You will interact with customers, contractors, and vendors through various software platforms such as Xactimate and Claims

X Video Collaboration, via voice calls, email and text messages. This role places particular focus on water losses, ensuring customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims.

You’ll Wear a Few Hats
  • The Customer Service Expert – live into Allstate’s Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring, and accomplish that by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each Property claim. Lead with empathy, always.
  • The Investigator – confidently and independently investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
  • The Effective Communicator – use phone, emails and sometimes video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process, incorporating a specific approach to claim handling and offering the customer their preferred communication method to efficiently discuss claim needs and keep them updated.
  • The Negotiator – evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers and claimants, in accordance with all legal and business standard methodologies, incorporating tactics for challenging and complex situations.
  • The Problem Solver – utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast‑paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids and additional settlement platforms, while exercising sharp critical thinking skills.
  • The Recorder – protect the company financially by executing policies along policy agreements, and keep a clear record of work in a claims system that you will be trained on, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for each claim.
Schedule
  • Schedule for training and thereafter 8‑5 pm, with rotational weekend duty.
  • Hybrid schedule – Monday‑Wednesday in office, Thursday‑Friday at home.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous industry experience highly desired.
  • Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments preferred.
  • Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills for remote interaction with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized, focused on delivering high‑quality and efficient claim resolutions.
  • Residency within the posted location mandatory.
Training
  • The training program is designed to help build a claims foundation and understand the systems and processes in day‑to‑day work.
  • Ongoing training opportunities for continuous improvement happen regularly on the job.
Notice of Licensing Requirement
  • As a condition of employment, the office/area may require obtaining an adjuster and/or an appraiser license, which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If required, secure license(s) within 60 days of hire.
  • If required, the Hiring Manager will work with you and the Centralized Licensing team to ensure proper licensing.
