The role of Litigation Paralegal at Stephens Law is pivotal in supporting the firm's mission to fight for justice and secure maximum compensation for clients suffering from catastrophic injuries. This position is crafted for an elite paralegal who can manage personal injury cases from intake through to litigation and resolution, ensuring clients receive empathetic and effective advocacy during their most challenging times.
What you’ll do:- Case Management: Handle a caseload of at least 20 active personal injury litigation cases, primarily involving trucking and commercial vehicle accidents, from intake to resolution.
- Document Drafting: Draft petitions, discovery, and motions, ensuring thorough preparation for litigation milestones and deadlines.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for clients, offering empathy and professionalism in communications with those experiencing significant trauma.
- Litigation Support: Assist attorneys in preparing for trial, maintaining a well-organized case file, and ensuring timely action on all legal tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with legal and administrative staff to manage day-to-day operations and special projects, contributing to the firm's high-impact work.
- Experience: At least 5 years of personal injury litigation experience, preferably in higher-end cases such as trucking or commercial vehicle accidents.
- Caseload Management: Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Case Peer is a plus, but a willingness and ability to learn quickly is essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong multitasker, self-starter, team player, with excellent client communication and high empathy.
- Location: Preference for candidates living near Fort Worth to ensure long-term commitment and easy commute.
