Job DescriptionSeeking Paralegal to support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings, as well as in managing cases and performing legal research. The paralegal will assist the law firm with running more efficiently and effectively.
Core Responsibilities- Legal Research:
Conduct extensive research using both traditional and electronic methods to find relevant case law, statutes, articles, and documents to support a case. - Document Preparation:
Draft and analyze legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, briefs, contracts, and correspondence. - Case Management:
Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and other legal documents. - Client & Witness Interaction:
Interview clients to gather information, communicate updates, and assist with witness interviews and statements. - Trial & Hearing Support:
Assemble litigation bundles, prepare exhibits, organize trial notebooks, and support attorneys during trials and hearings.
- Analytical & Research
Skills:
Ability to analyze complex information, identify key details, and perform thorough legal research. - Communication:
Strong writing and verbal communication skills for drafting documents and interacting with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals. - Organization:
Exceptional ability to manage large volumes of documents, evidence, and case files efficiently. - Technology Proficiency:
Expertise in using legal databases, case management software, and electronic filing systems. - Problem-Solving:
Capacity to identify and resolve legal challenges independently and creatively within legal guidelines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related field (may require paralegal certification).
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in office software and legal research tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
