Capacity & Supply Planner
The Capacity & Supply Planner position is responsible for all product deployment and forecasting activities associated with customers and operations. The position creates and supports product replenishments, kitting production, and product rollouts network wide. Leveraging business intelligence, production/capacity plans, and customer insights, the planner acts as the integration point into the customer and operations team. It also handles basic production scheduling and short‑term forecast modeling.
This position supports the monthly consensus forecasting process and is a key contributor to the monthly SIOP process.
Responsibilities- Develop a rolling production schedule for kitting initiatives, support account/customer driven programming, create proper work requisitions, and focus on WIP management and cost to serve.
- Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with account teams, kitting team, operations team, and customers to support requirements around kitting initiatives.
- Support and drive replenishments and short‑term product deployment, leveraging statistical modeling such as pull‑replenishment at the distribution level.
- Collaborate with SIOP, executive leadership, finance, procurement, account, demand planner, and warehouse teams to ensure all demand plans align from a distribution‑level perspective.
- Deliver the confirmed unconstrained unit forecast at the appropriate level to the supply planning and purchasing/procurement functions.
- Work closely with demand planning, account, kitting and purchasing teams to understand supply issues and potential mitigation strategies.
- Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies, increase scale, and apply a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Manage and maintain forecasting and demand‑planning systems and software.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand‑planning process.
- Support distribution inventory deployment through replenishment recommendations and drive SLAs with kitting production.
- Maintain strong relationships among account, procurement, finance, capacity/supply planners, leading to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast for decision making.
- Refine systems and methods to continually improve replenishment and kitting deployment, supporting customer demand.
- Execute with excellence in customer replenishment and provide feedback on opportunities and risks regarding customer replenishment performance metrics.
- 4+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, supply chain, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, production scheduling, and forecasting methods, with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Demonstrated proficiency using root‑cause analysis to improve forecast accuracy and inventory deployment processes.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve problems or take advantage of opportunities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision‑making, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all teams, areas, and levels of business affecting the forecasting process.
- Familiarity with co‑packing/repacking production, inventory management, direct distribution, and pull‑replenishment modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; proficiency with Tableau or PowerBI reporting tools is desired; planning system experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, statistics, business analytics, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or similar reporting tools; familiarity with planning systems is preferred.
