The Dispatch Representative serves as the primary communication liaison between carriers and customers for assigned loads. This role is responsible for delivering a premier shipment experience by proactively managing carrier-customer communication from dispatch to delivery, ensuring parties receive timely updates, accurate ETAs, and notification of shipment changes. Dispatch Representatives enhance carrier-customer satisfaction, reduce communication gaps, and allow for streamlined operations within PTR’s Logistics department.

• Fort Worth, TX Office

This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between carriers and customers for assigned shipments.
• Monitor shipments throughout transit using telematics systems and transportation management tools.
• Provide proactive shipment updates, including estimated arrival times (ETAs), delivery confirmations, and shipment changes.
• Coordinate directly with carriers to obtain accurate shipment status, ETAs, and resolution for service issues.
• Maintain consistent, professional, and timely communication with customers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Document customer interactions and shipment updates within PTR systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve shipment visibility and the overall customer experience.
• Support company KPIs related to customer satisfaction, responsiveness, shipment visibility, and communication efficiency.

• 1+ years of strong customer service or account experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tools.
• College Degree or Certificates.
