Porter (Multifamily Apartment Community in Ft Worth)

The Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of the community. This position supports the maintenance and management teams by ensuring common areas are clean, assisting with basic make-ready tasks, and providing outstanding service to residents. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, self-driven, and thrives in a team environment.

• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, including hallways, leasing office, restrooms, clubhouses, fitness centers, and outdoor spaces.
• Perform daily groundskeeping duties such as trash pickup, sweeping, blowing, and ensuring curb appeal.
• Assist with basic make-ready tasks, including:
  • Trash-out of vacated units
  • Light cleaning
  • Minor repairs or touch-ups under direction of the maintenance team
  • Replacement of basic fixtures, filters, light bulbs, etc.
• Support maintenance staff with work order prep, inventory organization, and special projects.
• Monitor the property for safety hazards and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop, equipment, and storage areas.
• Uphold all safety, cleanliness, and operational standards set by the community.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the community with professionalism.

• Previous experience in apartment maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial work, or similar role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and minor maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, well-kept property.
• Highly reliable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently when needed.
• A positive team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred (community-specific).

This position works closely with maintenance technicians, the maintenance supervisor, and the property management team. Most work is performed outdoors or in vacant apartment homes and common areas.
