Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Facility Maintenance
Facilities Technician – ACH Child & Family Services
Complete facilities duties as directed by the Director of Facilities or Lead Facilities Technician. Duties may include grounds maintenance, mowing, janitorial work, painting, completing facilities requests, and general maintenance. The role requires sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
Education RequirementsHigh school education or GED preferred.
Experience RequirementsExperience in general maintenance such as grounds, janitorial, painting, vehicle maintenance, and completion of maintenance related duties.
Functional RequirementsAbility to tolerate physical activity: walking, standing, climbing, lifting, and squatting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Requires good hearing and vision to assess health, safety, and occupational hazards quickly. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and be able to operate several types of vehicles (multi‑passenger van, trucks, tractors, and standard passenger cars).
Must have a driving record within the guidelines of the insurance underwriter. Must not have been charged with or convicted of a felony or criminal offense against a child.
Exposure to the normal hazards of a light industrial environment, including electric hand tools, welders, power saws, chemicals used for general cleaning and building maintenance, illness, and blood. The environment includes external settings with associated heat and cold exposures.
Exposure to Confidential InformationMaintain confidentiality and follow policies related to personal records & client records.
Expectations and Responsibilities- Maintain high ethical standards as outlined in the ACH Child and Family Services Code of Ethics.
