Role SummaryThe SSI Warehouse Lead is the operational backbone of our physical assets. This role owns inventory integrity, warehouse organization, inbound/outbound logistics, and execution discipline to ensure that every design project is supported with accuracy, efficiency, and white-glove standards.
This is not a passive storage position. It is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining order, enforcing process, and protecting high value furnishings, finished goods, and materials that directly impact client experience and profitability.

- On-time pulls, installs, and deliveries with no last-minute chaos

- Maintain real time inventory tracking for furniture, fixtures, decor, fabrics, samples, and install materials
- Label, photograph, log, and store all items using established and/or new systems
- Conduct weekly and monthly audits
- Flag discrepancies immediately and resolve root causes
- Design and enforce warehouse layout optimized for flow, safety, and visibility
- Maintain high standards of care - protective wrapping, climate awareness, clean handling
- Ensure all items are prepped correctly for installs and deliveries
- Maintain tools, racks, pallets, and equipment in professional condition
- Receive inbound shipments and inspect for quality, damage, and accuracy
- Coordinate outbound pulls for installs and delivery team
- Stage projects in advance so install days run clean and efficient
- Coordinate with Procurement and Design Teams on schedules, changes, and priorities
- Direct warehouse assistants, installers, and movers as needed
- Train others on inventory systems and warehouse standards
- Communicate clearly with Designers, Procurement, and Leadership
- Enforce process without ego or micromanagement
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers to optimize transportation and distribution
- Document SOPs for receiving, storage, pulling, staging, installing, and returns
- Develop and monitor metrics to assess and improve warehouse productivity
- Identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and implement changes
- Maintain safety compliance and loss prevention discipline
- Develop and manage the warehouse budget, monitoring expenses and containing costs
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and service providers
- Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order fulfillment, and shipping accuracy
- Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4-7 years of hands on warehouse logistics or operations management experience
- Proven organizational discipline using current technology, software, and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and follow through, with a commitment to excellence
- Expert in integrating, configuring, and optimizing software to manage inventory, automate order fulfillment, and streamline supply chain; ERP, WMS.
- Ability to lead calmly and decisively
- Comfortable working independently without constant supervision
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and staging furniture
- Experience in luxury goods, construction, or staging
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce software and warehouse management systems
- Naturally inclined to create structure and accountability
- Capable of upholding a professional environment with high morale
