Safety-Kleen in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Branch Manager to manage the successful execution and profitability for the overall operations of their assigned branch office. This includes the sales growth, retention of customers, customer satisfaction, profitability, operational controls, health and safety performance, and regulatory compliance of the Branch.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Direct and optimize overall operations in the assigned geographic area.
  • Ensure communication of all required report information to relevant departments.
  • Review operational reports with attention to operational problems, customer concerns, regulatory compliance, and safety issues; provide operational input.
  • Monitor overall branch performance with special attention to safety and environmental issues, providing solutions to recurrent problems.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction while maintaining a secure environment and a respectful, team‑oriented workplace.
  • Ensure employees operate in accordance with company goals, objectives, and core values by monitoring and reinforcing compliance with Company Policies & Procedures as well as government and industry regulations.
  • Ensure staff follow safe work practices, complete job duties efficiently, and receive adequate support.
  • Conduct periodic field visits to inspect equipment and the working environment.
  • Work closely with the District Manager to monitor safety statistics and ensure compliance with reporting procedures regarding accident/incident reporting.
  • Aggressively market the Company services and seek growth opportunities while maintaining collaborative and profitable customer relationships.
  • Prepare an annual budget based on market projections, refurbishments, capital expenditures, and fleet additions, enforce cost controls and general efficiencies to achieve financial targets and profit margins, and monitor repair and maintenance costs with corrective actions when required.
  • Monitor ongoing updates of equipment, parts inventories, and general purchasing processes, ensuring quality, cost effectiveness, and 100% compliance with regulated certification requirements for equipment and personnel training.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews of all staff under your management and assist in the evaluation and development of niche markets to enhance profitability.
  • Identify and communicate potential growth opportunities for the company to the Operations Team.
  • Direct weekly meetings to ensure effective dissemination of information and tasks to applicable departments and employees.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual recommendations for field and office staff regarding compensation, training, and bonuses.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management and required by the Clean Harbors business.
  • Follow all local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations and rules.
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial), and federal requirements.
  • Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Experience creating and understanding budgets, including analysis and creation of profit and loss statements.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain effective professional relationships while leading/mentoring in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Perform physical functions required by the job.
  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, if required by position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Superior written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Route sales and service leadership experience.
  • Class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Previous general manager or branch manager experience.
  • Industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
