Position: ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT – MIRA VISTA COUNTRY CLUB

Mira Vista Country Club, in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a career-driven Assistant Superintendent to join one of the premier private club golf operations in Texas. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work alongside a highly accomplished agronomic leadership team while helping maintain and continually improve a recently renovated championship golf course.

Following the completion of a transformative $21 million golf course renovation in , Mira Vista has positioned itself among the finest golf facilities in the region. The successful candidate will gain hands‑on experience managing elite warm‑season turfgrass surfaces, leading staff, implementing agronomic programs, and contributing to future capital improvement projects.

This role is ideal for an aspiring golf course management professional seeking a clear pathway toward Golf Course Superintendent and Director of Agronomy positions.

Key Responsibilities , Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitude
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily golf course maintenance operations
  • Execute fertility, irrigation, plant protect ant, and cultural practice programs
  • Monitor and maintain championship‑quality playing conditions throughout the property
  • Supervise, train, and develop maintenance staff
  • Lead daily assignments and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Assist with irrigation management and water conservation initiatives
  • Participate in pesticide and fertilizer applications
  • Monitor turf health and identify agronomic concerns proactively
  • Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and recordkeeping
  • Coordinate special projects and course improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and environmental regulations
  • Assume operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Agronomy or Golf Course Superintendent
  • Contribute to planning and implementation of future capital projects
