Position: Manager, Distribution Center Operations

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Senior Plant Manager, Fort Worth

Travel Required: ~10%

About the Role

A leading beverage manufacturer is seeking a strategic and experienced Manager, Distribution Center Operations to oversee its Fort Worth distribution center. This role is pivotal in managing 3PL relationships, optimizing logistics, and aligning operations with broader supply chain goals.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Direction
  • Lead 3PL operations and Consolidation activities.
  • Align supply chain strategies across internal teams.
  • Drive footprint optimization and cost‑saving initiatives.
Operational Planning & Execution
  • Develop and execute strategic and operational plans.
  • Conduct GEMBA walks to reinforce safety and quality.
  • Promote continuous improvement and standard work practices.
  • Accountable for inventory control administration across Plant and 3PL operations, including cycle count coordination, reconciliation reporting, audit support, and ensuring operational and financial inventory accuracy.
Performance & Results
  • Monitor KPIs: OTIF, Perfect Order, Inventory Management.
  • Manage commercial claims and support ERP systems.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, occupational safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain GMP and SQF certifications.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as escalation point for 3PL and warehousing performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, “Can Do” culture.
  • Coach and lead 3PL and plant warehousing teams.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of leadership in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing.
  • Proven success in 3PL management and change leadership.
  • Expertise in Occupational Health & Safety, Continuous Improvement, and Quality Assurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft D365, WMS, TMS.
  • Strong project management, budgeting, and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
