Budget Program Manager

Position can be filled in any of the following locations:

As a Budget Program Manager, you will manage internal Program Budget Operations and provides Strategic Program Reviews and Program Management of special significant interests from OGPs Chief of Staff and the Associate Administrator for Office of Government-Wide Policy.

You will perform the following duties:

  • Serve as the primary organization liaison for all budget activities, including, but not limited to, interagency agreements; utilizing G-invoicing and Pegasys for fund disbursement; running transaction reports; creating outyear budget requests; and managing the unfunded request process to ensure the organization's fiscal responsibility. Generates and maintains the budget tracker, performing adjustments and tracking throughout the fiscal year, and delivering timely reports and flagging critical issues for senior management officials within the organization and Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) required.
  • Manage the strategic program reviews and develops long-range plans and formal recommendations on the optimal methods to assess and enhance processes and projects. Oversee and devise the strategy and process for managing Regulatory Reviews, Freedom of Information Act, Labor Relations and Management requests, and other data calls and briefing requests on organization programs. Conduct complex analytical studies that are of special interest to specific functional activities or programs, and participates in unusual, controversial and sometimes highly sensitive aspects of the program.

    Analyze the Internal Controls Review (ICR) data to ensure accuracy and serves as the coordinator and representative for organization on this official action.
  • Provide technical expertise to organization staff concerning the Internal Controls Review Process. Collaborate individually with teams to ensure that our Internal Controls Review (ICR) reporting aligns precisely with agency policies and directives. Independently implements the process established by higher-level officials and facilitates this work to meet the mandated ICR deadlines and objectives.
  • Lead collaboration exercises across various stakeholders internally and externally to the agency to come to consensus, communicate policy or guidance, and/or enhance understanding of processes or projects.
  • Provide expert assistance and authoritative advice regarding the interpretation of governing policy within the designated budgetary program area, differentiating between the various funding sources that support organization.
