Operations Supervisor

Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor. The incumbent in this class performs under the general supervision of the Operations Manager. The responsibilities include supervising operators and drivers in maintaining schedules, observing company regulations, and following safety precautions. The position includes dispatching and scheduling duties. The incumbent assists operators and drivers in unusual or emergency situations.

This position's responsibilities include:

• Supervising a staff of 10-15 drivers in the day-to-day operations of the operations department.
• Maintaining schedules, observing company regulations, and following all safety precautions.
• Coordinating and monitoring personnel matters, including instructing, evaluating performance, coaching, counseling, maintaining standards, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
• Assisting drivers with any emergency or unusual situations that occur.
• Receiving passenger complaints, investigating problems, and responding back to the passenger.
• Rotating in dispatch office to schedule.
• Ensuring compliance with the Union contract.
• Must be able to work all available shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

• CDL with passenger endorsement
• Letter of recommendation from your supervisor or manager
• No more than (5) five attendance events
• No preventable accidents

Experience:

• Three years' experience in supervision or in a position directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Proficient use of computer word processing, spreadsheets, and database management is required.

Education:

• High school graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Internal candidates
• Any combination of experience, training, and/or education that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills may substitute for the required education.
