Summary

The University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth is forming its College of Nursing to address the shortage of nurses in Texas.

Position Overview

This role oversees the operations of the academic program within the College of Nursing on the UNT Health campus in Dallas. It supports the Assistant Dean for the Extended Campus, student success, and faculty collaboration. The Academic Program Manager creates a supportive and transformative academic environment, implements student and faculty-centric initiatives, and ensures overall program quality.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations and data to implement solutions and create assessment reports.
  • Detail and service oriented.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments and projects.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite:
    Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work well in a values-driven, team environment.
Job Duties
  • Manage and assist the Assistant Dean for Extended Campus and Faculty with scheduling meetings, calendar assistance, room scheduling, maintaining faculty and student cohort lists, tracking degree plans and cohort data, work orders, and completing student rosters per cohort.
  • Schedule meetings and take/disseminate minutes.
  • Schedule classroom and educational space for programs.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Affairs Project Manager on clinical compliance, affiliation agreements and site placements.
  • Prepare course scheduling for each academic semester for all College of Nursing courses.
  • Create and manage online platforms by updating course schedules and uploading faculty workload assignments.
  • Collaborate with the TAMS system manager and maintain contact.
  • Serve as academic vendors and publishers liaison, coordinate meetings, and participate as needed on ad hoc committees.
  • Provide documentation assistance for accreditation and collaborate with the Program Manager for Accreditation.
  • Create and disseminate student and faculty surveys as needed.
  • Assist with organization and upkeep of College of Nursing Teams folders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
