Overview
The Project Manager is the overall manager for the assigned project. The Project Manager ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed and managed in accordance with the Company's requirements, including safety, quality, management and financial performance requirements. All aspects of the assigned project(s) must be carried out as efficiently as possible with respect to staffing, materials management, financial management, customer care and customer delivery goals.
Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and discharge all project-related staff as needed.
- Effectively manage all human resource issues per Company policies and procedures; complete recommendations for performance ratings, promotions and pay changes.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and Company goals and objectives.
- Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
- Plan for, manage, monitor and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
- Review job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including preparation of invoices, customer collections and periodic financial reporting to the customer and management.
- Manage quality and safety issues on customer work.
- Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
- Act as Company liaison with customer representatives.
- Create, develop and implement account process improvements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Salary range: USD $84,500.00 – $ per year.
- Physical and mental requirements: self-motivated, positive in approach, professional; ability to lead others to create and implement project process improvements; promote the Company culture and mission; proven problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to read, write and give oral presentations; ability to interpret blueprints and project documents; ability to travel within branch/region as needed; ability to learn Company and customer project management systems;
ability to secure and maintain a Company-sponsored American Express Card; familiarity with listed trade tools. - Education and Certification:
High School diploma or GED required;
Bachelor's degree preferred; RCDD certification preferred. - Experience:
minimum five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience; minimum five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical or construction field. - Skills:
proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project); ability to manage multiple tasks/projects; ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed tasks and manage to completion; valid driver’s license per company standards.
