General Branch Manager – Roofing Operations Texas | Executive Leadership Opportunity

OTE: $200,000–$250,000+

Build a Branch Without Putting Up the Capital

If you have ever wanted to build and lead your own roofing operation—but without taking on the financial risk of starting a company from scratch—this opportunity deserves your attention.

An established and growing roofing contractor is looking for a proven roofing leader to launch and grow a new Texas branch. You will have the support, resources, and financial backing of an established organization, along with the autonomy to build the local team, develop the market, and take full ownership of the branch’s performance.

This is not simply an operations position. We are looking for someone who understands how to run a complete business.

You will be responsible for the branch’s full P&L, including revenue growth, margins, overhead, cash flow, collections, operational performance, and profitability. You must have a proven track record of growing a roofing operation while maintaining healthy profit margins.

What You’ll Be Responsible For Branch Growth and Business Development
  • Build the company’s presence within the Texas market.
  • Develop relationships with general contractors, property managers, developers, facility managers, building owners, and other decision‑makers.
  • Generate business through existing relationships, networking, referrals, industry associations, and strategic outreach.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close profitable work.
  • Identify the right opportunities while protecting margins and avoiding unprofitable volume.
Full P&L Ownership
  • Take complete responsibility for branch revenue, expenses, margins, overhead, and profitability.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and growth plans.
  • Monitor project financials, billing, collections, cash flow, and backlog.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators across sales, estimating, production, safety, and financial performance.
  • Make informed business decisions that support sustainable, profitable growth.
Estimating and Preconstruction
  • Oversee and contribute to estimating for commercial and residential roofing projects.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes, and material takeoffs.
  • Develop accurate, competitive pricing while maintaining appropriate margins.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure clean project handoffs from sales and estimating into operations.
Operations and Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and develop the local branch team.
  • Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, sales professionals, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards.
  • Manage labor planning, scheduling, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources.
  • Create a culture built around accountability, communication, safety, and performance.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements, company standards, and applicable state and local regulations.
What You’ll Need
  • At least five years of leadership experience within commercial and/or residential roofing.
  • Proven experience managing a branch, business unit, division, or multiple departments.
  • Direct responsibility for a P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, margins, overhead, cash flow, and profitability.
  • A documented track record of growing revenue while protecting or improving profit margins.
  • Strong roofing sales, estimating, project management, and operational experience.
  • Established business-development skills and the ability to build relationships within the Texas market.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial low-slope and residential steep-slope roofing systems.
  • An understanding of construction accounting, project financials, billing, and collections.
  • The ability to hire, develop, and hold a team accountable.
  • A self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the local market.
Particularly Valuable Experience
  • Commercial roofing
  • Multifamily roofing
  • Industrial roofing
