Job Description
The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking an experienced, visionary, and community-focused leader to serve as the Executive Director of the Northpark YMCA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of our most established branches while helping shape its future through a transformational expansion and revitalization project that will significantly increase the YMCA's impact in the community.
Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Executive Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership for all branch operations, including Membership, Wellness, Aquatics, Youth Development, Child Watch, and other community programs. The Executive Director oversees daily operations, volunteer development, financial development, annual campaign fundraising, community partnerships, staff leadership, budgeting, and member engagement while ensuring exceptional service to members and program participants.
Key Facts: Budget Revenue: $900,000;
Annual Campaign Goal: $85,000; 1,200+ Membership Units serving more than 3,900 members. The Northpark YMCA offers a Wellness Center, Group Exercise Studio, Aquatics, Child Watch, Youth Sports, Summer Day Camp, Swim Lessons, and a variety of programs that strengthen youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility throughout the community.
Transformational Leadership Opportunity
The Northpark YMCA is entering one of the most exciting chapters in its history. Fort Worth voters recently approved a city bond that includes a $5 million investment toward the expansion and revitalization of the Northpark YMCA. To unlock these funds, the YMCA will successfully raise an additional $5 million through a community capital campaign.
The Executive Director will play a critical leadership role in this transformational project by partnering with Association leadership, volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders to lead local fundraising efforts, cultivate major donors, build strategic partnerships, and serve as the face of the campaign within the community. This leader will also provide operational leadership throughout the planning, design, construction, and transition phases of the expansion while ensuring the branch continues to deliver an exceptional member experience.

Qualifications
Education &
Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency. YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification preferred, but can be obtained during employment. CPR and First Aid certification may be required.

Experience:
High energy, "can-do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and a high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful. The ability to direct programs through leading both staff and volunteers, developing and monitoring budgets, developing and marketing programs and bringing enthusiasm and a passion for fundraising. A proven track record in building authentic relationships with others and the ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
This leader will need the ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus.
Essential Functions
- Develops and directs high-quality member engagement strategies and programs that support branch membership growth and Association goals and strategies. May direct branch marketing and communication efforts.
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
