Position Purpose

The Coordinator IV, Diagnosticians, Evaluations, and Related Services is responsible for supporting the implementation, quality, and compliance of evaluation practices across the district. This role ensures that evaluations are conducted with precision, in a timely manner, and in alignment with federal, state, and district requirements, resulting in accurate identification and high-quality, defensible eligibility decisions for students. The Coordinator ensures consistency in evaluation practices across campuses and that all work meets high professional standards for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Under the direction of the Director of Compliance, Evaluation, and Related Services, the Coordinator provides performance management and supervision of Educational Diagnosticians to ensure high-quality evaluations, effective caseload management, adherence to evaluation timelines, and rigorous report writing practices. The role fosters a high-performance culture grounded in accountability and continuous improvement, while ensuring that evaluation practices are instructionally relevantinforming service delivery, supporting appropriate placement decisions, and improving outcomes for students through consistent, evidence-based practices.

  • Supports the implementation, quality, and compliance of evaluation practices across the district, ensuring evaluations are conducted with precision, in a timely manner, and in alignment with all federal, state, and district requirements.
  • Ensures consistency and quality of evaluation practices across campuses, including accurate identification, high-quality report writing, and defensible eligibility determinations aligned to professional standards.
  • Provides performance management and supervision of Educational Diagnosticians to ensure high-quality evaluations, effective caseload management, adherence to evaluation timelines, and consistent documentation practices.
  • Fosters and maintains a high-performance culture among Educational Diagnosticians grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and student outcomes.
  • Provides targeted coaching, feedback, and support through review of evaluation reports, professional practice, and performance data to improve evaluation quality and staff effectiveness.
  • Applies and communicates best-in-class research to ensure evaluation and related service practices result in precise, defensible identification decisions, while reducing overidentification and addressing disparities across student groups.
  • Monitors evaluation timelines, caseload distribution, completion rates, and documentation quality to ensure compliance, efficiency, and equitable service delivery across campuses.
  • Reviews evaluation reports, data summaries, and eligibility determinations to ensure accuracy, instructional relevance, and alignment with district expectations and professional standards.
  • Supports the implementation of district appraisal and evaluation systems by providing performance-related input, identifying areas for growth, and contributing to professional development and corrective action planning as needed.
  • Analyzes evaluation-related data to identify trends, strengths, gaps, and areas of over- or under-identification, and supports the development of targeted actions to improve evaluation practices and outcomes.
  • Supports continuous improvement of the evaluation program by identifying system-level needs, recommending adjustments, and ensuring alignment to district expectations for quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Prepares reports and provides regular updates to Specialized Learning and Curriculum & Instruction leadership regarding evaluation program effectiveness, staffing trends, compliance indicators, and student outcomes.
  • Collaborates with campus administrators to support effective referral processes, evaluation scheduling, and multidisciplinary team engagement to ensure timely and high-quality evaluations.
  • Works in partnership with Specialized Learning teams, compliance staff, related services leadership, and Curriculum & Instruction departments to align evaluation practices with instructional priorities and student needs.
  • Provides guidance and support to campus teams regarding evaluation procedures, eligibility criteria, and instructional implications to ensure evaluations inform service delivery and student outcomes.
  • Serves as a district resource to parents, educators, and administrators regarding evaluation processes, eligibility decisions, and best practices in assessment.
  • Partners with Talent Management and Specialized Learning leadership to support recruitment, onboarding, staffing alignment, and retention of Educational Diagnosticians.
