Job Description *
* In this role you will:

+ Oversee preparation, review, and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and company policy

+ Supervise fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and processes

+ Manage treasury activity for Space and subsidiaries

+ Oversee collaboration with Global Financial Services and treasury personnel to ensure accurate and timely cash posting

+ Coordinate with internal audit and external auditors, address audit findings, and improve internal controls

+ Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across reporting, treasury, and asset management to enhance efficiency and data integrity

+ Manage ASC 842 Accounting for Leases to ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies

+ Oversee conversion to new financial reporting tool, Oracle FCC

+ Directly supervise a team of 4 finance professionals, setting clear goals and expectations

+ Conduct regular 1‑on‑1 coaching sessions to develop technical expertise, career paths, and succession planning

+ Manage performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and recognize high‑performers to maintain engagement and productivity

+ Allocate workload effectively across peak reporting periods ensuring balanced staffing and timely deliverables

+ Desire for leader to be onsite at a Lockheed Martin Space facility approximately 1 day per week depending on location

+ Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

** Basic Qualifications*
* + Bachelors or Master's degree in accounting or finance or anything else from an accredited university

+ Working understanding of GAAP

+ Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities

+ Ability to work with internal controls, risk management practices, and basic SOX compliance

+ Strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills; high attention to detail

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

** Desired Skills*
* + CPA

+ Experience in financial reporting

+ Prior experience with SAP

+ Top Secret Security Clearance

+ Familiarity with Lockheed Martin policies and procedures (or willingness to learn quickly)

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas)

+ 5+ years of related finance experience

3): $89100.00 - $165500.00

4): $80200.00 - $149000.00
