Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring a Career Material Handler at our Fort Worth plant.

Job Description

Summary:

In this role, the Material Handler performs shop order-picking away activities associates with an assigned area of the warehouse.

Utilizes the ERP system (BPCS/LX) to perform inventory transactions and inquiries, including the use of mobile bar code devices

Optimizes storage locations based on part velocity and volume policies

• Acts as back-up for multiple areas when required
• Operates mobile equipment, such as forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks, to move material
• Assures that material counts are accurately reflected in the system and material is stored according to defined policies and procedures
• Able to identify part types and methods of storage associated with assigned area
• Performs put-away and picking functions utilizing BPCS bar code devices
• Maintains accurate stock counts, locations and product IDs in assigned areas
• Rearrange material as directed for optimization
• Initiates and maintains all applicable paperwork as required
• Follows all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum six months’ experience working in team environment
• Experience in warehousing activities requiring high level of precision and productivity
