Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 / hour
DescriptionEquipment Build Technician help support the setup, teardown, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized equipment in accordance with project specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with mechanical and electronic systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The role also requires a willingness and ability to learn new technical skills, such as soldering and software installation.
Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
- Assemble, disassemble, and reassemble complex equipment according to technical specifications, schematics, and procedures outlined in the scope of work.
- Inspect equipment for defects, damage, or missing components prior to assembly.
- Document all parts used during assembly and disassembly, ensuring accurate records for inventory and maintenance purposes.
- Test and verify that components and equipment are functioning correctly before, during, and after assembly.
- Install, configure, and update software required for equipment operation and testing. - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Document assembly/disassembly processes, including any deviations or issues encountered.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure equipment meets operational and quality standards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance during assembly or disassembly.
- Handle and store components, tools, and equipment carefully to prevent damage.

Education/
Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience in mechanical or electronic equipment assembly and disassembly.
Skills and
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to document parts used and maintain accurate records.
- Basic computer skills, including loading and configuring software.
