In this role, you will be involved in the machining or processing of metal parts by operating B-axis lathes with multiple spindles and 5-axis Mill-Turn centers.

• Set up and operate B-Axis lathes and/or 5-axis CNC Mill-Turn machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, milling, part complete operations.
• Optimize set-up times, maximize machine utilization.
• Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, route instructions.
• Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed.
• Setup CNC equipment to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precision.
• Follow the in-process part inspection process and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.
• Communicate with managers, programmers, and quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.
• Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
• Document all issues to ensure a smooth transition of information between departments.
• Check and perform preventive maintenance daily.
• Schedule:
  
  1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

We're looking for engaged individuals who are adaptable to a changing environment, take pleasure in learning, and enjoy working with others.

• Minimum 3 years of machining experience which includes performing set ups.
• Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers, gauges.
• Proficient math skills.
• Ability to document machining procedures.
• Knowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling.
• Experience with DMG Mori Mill-Turn and/or Brother multi-axis machines a plus.
• Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English.
• Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
• Work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s time-keeping policy and all other company policies.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Consistently stand for an entire shift.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must, as is general mechanical knowledge.
• Willingness to be trained with a desire to learn.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Great work ethic, reliable, positive attitude.
• Experience with Siemens and/or Brother controls.
