We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized welder helper to join our team. This position involves grinding down welds, sanding materials, assembly of product, and marking & staging of fabricated items. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Properly wear the required PPE for designated task
- Safely operate power hand tools and stationary equipment such as angle grinders, sanders, miter saws, drill press, etc..
- Ability to understand fabrication documents follow their instruction
- Must be proficient in reading a tape measure to the nearest 1/16th of an inch
- Ensure all items are correctly identified, labeled, and staged for the appropriate departments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth flow of fabricated products to support production needs.
- Inspect materials for quality and report any defects or issues.
- Keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50lbs
- Must be proficient in reading a tape measure to the nearest 1/16th of an inch
- Being able to stand for long periods of time
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and operation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing or fabrication role preferred.
Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm(30 min unpaid lunch) with potential for overtime
