CNC Programmer

Create and maintain CNC programs using CAD/CAM and G-code, as well as accomplishing process improvements, machining optimization and CNC program proofing. Will also design fixturing, analyze and solve machining problems while working in a “Hands‑On” environment.

• Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM programming software
• Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency, tool life and quality
• Trouble shoot machining problems
• Assist in first run of parts/programs with shop personnel

• High School Diploma/GED
• Read, write, and verbally communicate in English
• Offline CAM programming experience
• In‑depth Knowledge of G‑code programming
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings
• Ability to inspect parts and adjust programs and offsets
• Understanding of feeds/speeds, tooling, and materials
• Strong CNC Lathe experience (preferably dual spindle and Y Axis)
• Machining troubleshooting skills
• Understanding and applications of cutting tool geometry

• Knowledge and understanding of fixturing, tool design and setups
• Espirit and/or Master
  
  CAM experience
• Experience with VMC’s (4&5 axis), HMC’s (4 axis), and mill/turn
• Experience with Haas CNC’s (Lathe and Mill)
• Multi‑axis CNC lathe and CNC mill experience
• Familiar with Fanuc controls
• Previous use of an ERP system for routing and BoM
• Prior use of Predator DNC system
• Familiarity or prior use of Calypso (Zeiss) CMM programming software
