Job Summary:

The Laser Cell Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining CNC laser-cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components used in Smart Cap products. This role includes reading blueprints, setting machine parameters, performing quality checks, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operators ensure safe work practices and follow all Smart Cap procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.

Primary

Job Responsibilities Include Assist with setup and operation of CNC laser cutting machines and equipment

Operate laser machines following work instructions, blueprints, or work orders

Inspect completed parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy

Load and unload sheet metal safely and efficiently

Perform basic machine adjustments and monitor machine performance

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all company safety rules and manufacturing procedures

Perform additional work-related duties as assigned

Minimum

Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

Basic computer skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CNC or laser-cutting equipment

ERP system experience

Part nesting experience

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing and walking

Occasional bending and kneeling

Manual material handling and lifting of metal parts

Regular use of computer screens and machine control stations

Working Conditions:

Frequent work in a non-climate-controlled environment with seasonal temperature changes

Considerable exposure to production noise levels from manufacturing equipment
