Operate sit-down, stand-up, clamp, or other powered industrial forklifts safely and efficiently.
Transport paper rolls, corrugated sheets, finished boxes, pallets, and other materials throughout the facility.
Supply production lines with required materials and remove finished goods as needed.
Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers according to shipping schedules.
Verify material quantities and product identification before moving inventory.
Stage finished products for shipment and ensure proper storage locations are utilized.
Inspect forklifts daily and complete pre-shift safety inspections.
Report equipment defects, maintenance needs, accidents, and safety concerns immediately.
Maintain accurate inventory transactions using warehouse management systems, scanners, or manual documentation.
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
Keep warehouse, dock, and storage areas clean and organized.
Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and forklift operating procedures.
Assist in other warehouse and production duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or corrugated packaging environment preferred.
Experience loading and unloading trailers preferred.
Forklift certification or ability to become certified upon hire.
Ability to safely operate forklifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control practices.
Ability to read shipping documents, labels, and work orders.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic math skills and ability to accurately count inventory.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and production personnel.
Physical Requirements:
Employees working in a plant environment must be able to perform the essential physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift). Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials, tools, or products (typically up to 50 lbs; occasionally heavier with assistance). Adequate vision to read gauges, screens, and written instructions. Ability to work in hot, cold, humid, or noisy environments.
