Shop Hand/Saw Operator
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $18.00–$20.00+ per hour (DOE)
Work Environment (Important)This is a non‑climate‑controlled facility. The building stays very warm year‑round due to ovens, especially during summer months. Candidates must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklift to unload incoming raw materials.
- Verify paperwork and inspect received materials.
- Receive inventory into ERP system.
- Load and cut sheet material using hydraulic shear.
- Saw and cut extrusion/bar stock to size.
- Issue materials to production jobs in ERP.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and organized workspace (5S).
- Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16th
. - Strong math skills and unit conversions.
- Microsoft Excel experience.
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs with or without assistance.
- Ability to identify metal types, grades, and thicknesses.
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments.
- Hydraulic shear, table saw, or chop saw operation.
- Forklift operation.
- Following production schedules.
- Knowledge of shop equipment and tools.
- Safety and quality-focused mindset.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must meet ITAR U.S. person status requirements
. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
- Shorts must reach the knee.
