Job Description - Entry NDT Quality Inspector (2600480)

Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring an Entry NDT Quality Inspector for our Fort Worth, TX plant.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, team-oriented individual who is ready to build technical inspection skills, support product quality, grow within a manufacturing environment, and become the technical authority.

What you’ll do:
  • Performs visual and dimensional inspections of products to verify conformance to specifications and confirm all requirements are met.
  • May inspects incoming materials, outgoing materials, and products or assemblies throughout the manufacturing process, as needed.
  • Applies one or more appropriate NDE methods to evaluate product quality and compliance.
  • Maintains, adjusts, and calibrates inspection equipment.
  • Completes inspection records and prepares accurate reports.
  • Works with applicable codes, regulations, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Follows all safety rules, policies, and work practices.
  • Participates in safety committees or continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned.
  • Relevant prior experience and certifications may be considered when determining the appropriate job level for new hires.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Currently in training and developing foundational NDT inspection skills.
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
  • Basic understanding of the operational functions and products being inspected.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate NDE certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a Level II or Level III Certified NDT Inspector.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate customer portals, enter NDT reports, and use Microsoft Teams and chat tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass an acuity test.
