PositionWe are looking for a Assembler I to join our team on the 2nd Shift! This position will be based at our Fort Worth, TX site.
CompensationHourly Rate: $17.50 - $21.00 + 5% Shift Differential
Basic Qualifications- Basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language.
- Make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects, stoop, bend, squat, crawl and climb.
- Reach, grasp, lift 75 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material (as needed).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Assembly/Wiring Experience.
- Processing and scanning in and out work orders (utilizing computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
- Reading and interpretation of documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one‑line diagrams, etc.).
- Collection of parts and accessories required in the assembly process; assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies (Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, and Power Panels) or subassemblies while using tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers).
- Preparing finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).
- Secure component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies while verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
- Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires, mark units with identifying information and/or attach identifying tags, reports non-conforming items.
- Performs other work as advised by Supervision.
