Responsibilities
Responsible for the calibration and repair of all types of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
Requires sound knowledge of precision measurement methodologies and principles.
Candidate will have responsibility for electrical and dimensional calibrations including, but not limited to, length, force, flow, pressure, mass, torque, temperature, humidity, vibration, voltage, current, resistance, RF power, and frequency.
Must have an understanding of measurement traceability and be competent interpreting and converting specifications.
Must be familiar with metrological/calibration quality requirements and have the ability to create detailed electronic records of work performed.
Must be capable of using manuals, schematics, or blueprints to perform component level troubleshooting and repair. Must be familiar with laboratory safety requirements.
Basic Qualifications- Experience with the use of precision measuring principles, theories and units of measure International System of Units (SI Units).
- Experience as a calibration technician actually performing calibration/repair of test & measurement equipment.
- Experience with laboratory safety and quality practices.
- Experience with calibrating equipment in accordance with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ANSI Z540.1, or equivalent.
- Experience with dimensional calibration equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges), familiarity with relevant industry standards, and strong attention to detail; ensuring accurate measurements of an object's dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC), excellent attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to troubleshoot complex RF circuits and systems.
- Familiarity with dimensional measuring instruments, understanding of geometric tolerances, ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, knowledge of statistical analysis.
- An understanding and experience calibrating common electronic test instruments (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, logic analyzers, function/arbitrary waveform generators).
- Hands‑on troubleshooting of electronic circuits – fault isolation, component testing, PCB repair.
- Proficiency with calibration software / data acquisition tools (e.g., Fluke Met/Cal, NG SureCAL, NI Cal Exec, LabVIEW).
