Position Overview
This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces, and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency. The Technician II, Sterile Production Operations (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex technical tasks in processing ingredients and pharmaceutical products. The position may also assist on the packaging floor based on production needs.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, a typical day will include:
- Handle complex technical tasks related to processing ingredients and pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment such as autoclaves, ovens, stills, filtration apparatus, and sterile filling equipment
- Manage raw materials and finished products
- Perform general maintenance
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain records
- Participate in quality checks and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure rigorous quality control, adhere to GMP regulations by strictly following SOPs, and maintain accurate and complete documentation
- Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements, contributing to the overall compliance of the organization
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

Mon 6am-3:45pm;
Tues-Fri 7:30am-3:45pm - Travel Requirements: 0–10%
