Position Overview
The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials, products, and goods within our production facility. They also support the production team with operations tasks necessary to meet manufacturing requirements.
Position Responsibilities- Move materials: read work orders/transfer orders, perform physical and system movement of material, cycle count, and ship finished goods.
- Operate forklift and other material‑handling equipment.
- Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in safety programs and uphold the safety culture.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and equipment, following all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform required equipment inspections, sweep, dust, mop, and organize warehouse/work area to ensure safe operation.
- Cross‑train and assist in other areas depending on workload.
- Complete any other tasks as needed or as directed by management.
- Minimum of 1 year of material‑handling experience in a manufacturing setting.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate lift trucks, cranes, and other material‑handling equipment.
- Must be able to follow established written and verbal instructions.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding and knowledge of manufacturing management systems and ERP, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of how workflow operates in a production facility.
