The Warehouse Associate role is accountable for various tasks including Receiving, Pulling/Picking, Shipping, Stocking, and Cycle Counting. The role meets company‑wide expectations in safety, quality, productivity, errors, attendance, attitude/teamwork, and may be cross‑trained in other areas of Operations as needed.
OverviewRFMW is an electronic component distributor of RF and microwave products. This position will be onsite Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CST at the North Fort Worth Warehouse.
AccountabilitiesThe following summarizes the key job accountabilities:
ReceivingReviews product for accuracy to purchase order (manufacturer’s certificate of compliance, part number, quantity, format, etc.) and inspects for damage. Records lot/date codes on manufacturer’s packing slip and compares product attributes to packing slips.
Pulling/PickingSelects appropriate product identified on the pick slip, carefully verifies part numbers, quantities, format, and records lot/date codes. Handles and packs product with appropriate packaging for shipment and generates barcode.
ShippingShips product through the XTG system, ensuring order accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
StockingManages stock and inventory control, maintaining associated records and performing cycle counts as required.
Cycle CountingAccurately pulls and counts parts according to cycle count sheets.
XTG DistributionEnsures XTG meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on‑time delivery within assigned responsibilities. Meets and exceeds established quality goals in relation to errors and productivity goals as defined by Management and actively participates in job qualification audits while strictly adhering to all established standard operating procedures.
Time and AttendanceMaintains acceptable time and attendance based on XTG policies defined by Human Resources and Operations.
Attitude/TeamworkDemonstrates a positive team‑oriented attitude and is willing to accept and embrace other tasks and duties as assigned. This includes effectiveness in working with co‑workers, ability to work overtime, sense of urgency, unsupervised work capability, overall flexibility, and a positive attitude focused on delivering desired results for XTG.
SafetyEnsures a safe working environment for self and others by adhering to established safe operating expectations and following housekeeping requirements, and notifies management of any observed safety hazards.
FODPerforms foreign object detection and location maintenance to ensure standards are maintained.
Cross TrainingCross‑trains in other areas as required outside of the primary job function.
Possible Additional DutiesLearn the value‑add operations.
Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in receiving, picking, and shipping preferred.
Skills & Certifications- Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.
- Detail oriented with strong quality and productivity orientation.
- Desire to work in a fast‑paced, goal‑focused organized environment.
- Good mathematical abilities.
- Good verbal and written English language skills.
- Good organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective interpersonal interaction with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to twist, stoop, squat, bend, and reach frequently.
- Ability to sit, stand, climb ladders, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Arrives on time to work scheduled hours and completes assigned tasks.
- Available for overtime on weekdays and weekends as required.
