Job Overview

With direct supervision or guidance in a team environment, you will perform a variety of product support duties of moderate scope and complexity following well‑defined procedures in one or more of the following functions: parts identification, shipping, receiving, warehouse, etc.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Parts Identification:
    Identify parts using the proper identification methods and equipment indicated by the picklist or WIP, blueprint and/or customer requirements.
  • Shipping:
    Prepare parts and/or materials for shipment ensuring safe handling, complete necessary paperwork and shipping records, prepare packaging per specifications, interpret shipping instructions, mark shipments, prepare air bills, bills of lading and sales order forms, contact carriers for dispatch, establish rates or trace follow‑up information.
  • Receiving/Warehouse:
    Receive shipments at the receiving dock and forward materials to the appropriate team, weigh or count incoming/outbound parts or materials, input data to update system records, verify all documents for completeness and accuracy, receive material, check and identify parts by type or part number, prepare parts for storage, place stock in proper location, select parts from stock to fill orders, perform cycle inventory count, maintain and update inventory locations in CICS.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and become proficient in new/unfamiliar assignments.
  • Assist in sub‑assembly area if required.
  • Observe all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Maintain a satisfactory high level of performance.
  • Actively participate in lean/continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement and applying lean concepts and tools in work areas.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years related product support experience or demonstrated ability to perform described position responsibilities.
  • Ability to implement and effectively apply lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities.
  • Proficient in computer terminal operations and possess basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and understanding of written instructions, procedures, forms and specifications.
  • For Parker employees, this position requires Powerlift (forklift) Operator certificate from Stratoflex.
  • Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • May be required to operate moving equipment, saw equipment, and meet OSHA safety qualifications.
Typical Mental and Physical Demands
