Description
Maintain proper stock controls by performing manual and clerical tasks involved in receiving, preparation and stocking, issuing, shipping, physical inventory, disposition, control and protection of company and government property. Supports and suggests any remedial action required to prevent or resolve discrepancies. Will operate lift trucks and various gasoline and/or electric powered trucks and trackless trains throughout the factory areas. Performs duties involved in controlling (maintaining, updating, sorting, filing, recording and issuing) various Engineering, technical and military documents.
Physical Requirements- Full time standing with limited rest periods and ability to walk distances; sitting for extended periods if required.
- Able to work at heights, climb stairs or ladders, and use step stools, scissor lifts, lift platforms and aircraft structure without handrails.
- Able to work overhead as required.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Body positioning: able to twist, bend (neck or waist) and stoop; work in awkward positions; squat, kneel, crawl or reach as required.
- Use or hold small tools and parts; perform power grasping and fine manipulation; use vibrating tools and perform torqueing operations; use power moving equipment.
- High level hand and eye coordination required; corrective lenses permitted; eye protection required; color differentiation may be required; can hear at required level.
- Work around noise, chemicals, fumes and dust; use respirators and other PPE including hearing protection if required; able to work outside if needed.
- Regular attendance required; able to work any shift.
- Able to operate equipment or machinery as required; work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Experience with Stock Control, Inventory Management Practices and Procedures.
- Experience using Power and Hand Tools.
- Previous inventory or warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of scrap salvaging and handling methods and procedures.
- Material handling experience.
- Must be able to follow established written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Able to operate lift truck and trackless tow tractors.
- Must be able to work any shift.
