Role Overview
Production Control Discrete Material Lead for the F35 Program. The person will serve as the point of contact for Production Control for the Production build team, interface with all levels of Management, assure material availability, manage system accuracy, review schedule stability, address material shortages, and validate planning factors for consumables and perishable tools.
Responsibilities- Serve as the POC of Production Control for the Production build team.
- Interface directly with all levels of Management, including cross‑functional integration.
- Ensure all the right material is in the right place at the right time / material metric impact management.
- Review and take action as required on previous week unplanned adds.
- Manage accuracy for system integrity.
- Review schedule stability.
- Review and validate material shortage impacts to EACs with CAM.
- Review Operating Supply previous month actuals (Discrete items and F35 overhead high $ items).
- Validate Planning factors are accurate for PLS and Operating Supplies (Consumables & Perishable Tools).
- Minimum one year experience in a production environment.
- Minimum one year demonstrated professional experience in at least two of the following areas: procurement, engineering release, bill of material structure, or production operating processes.
- Demonstrated professional experience with SAP operating software, including transactional acumen.
- Green Belt certified.
- Production Operations / Production Control experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of aeronautics systems; SAP, Cribmaster, QADS, SFM, Apriso, Rapid Response.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with support equipment and manufacturing test equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, mediation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with presentation experience and skills.
- APICS / CPIM Certifications preferred.
- 3‑day weekends each week.
- Flexible work schedules, onsite to remote.
