Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring permanent full-time Skilled Laborers and Construction Professionals to ensure excellent craftsmanship at our manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

Pay

Warehouse, Manufacturing and Construction positions pay weekly. Hourly pay: $18.00 per hour.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0 to 1 year in carpentry or construction background preferred
  • Ability to comprehend basic math
  • Ability to operate power tools safely
  • Ability to follow repair processes
  • Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs using proper techniques
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8‑hour day)
  • Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
Responsibilities
  • Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and safety standards
  • Operate pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets
  • Use hammer, grinder, saw to remove existing nails and use 25 lb nail gun to nail components together
  • Manually lift 70 lb pallets from stack to repair table
  • Ensure pallets meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit
  • Maintain clean, neat, orderly work area
  • Conduct operations that promote safety
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
  • Wear all necessary safety equipment while repairing pallets
  • Perform other duties as required
