CNC Machinist
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist with prior experience in 2-axis up to 5-axis machining. The role requires assembly and on higher axis machines. The ideal candidate will be proficient in setting up machines independently, primarily working with Fanuc controls, but also familiar with Mazak and Okuma controls. The machinist should be adept at problem-solving issues related to finishes and performing minor edits.
A strong understanding of multiple drawings for a single product is essential.
- Set up CNC machines independently without the need for programming.
- Operate 2-axis to 5-axis machining equipment, including assembly and higher axis machines.
- Utilize Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma controls efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product finishes.
- Interpret and work with multiple drawings for individual products.
- CNC Lathe machining experience of 2-5 years minimum.
- Proficiency in using Mazak and Mazatrol controls.
- Ability to set up machines without programming.
- Comprehensive understanding of blueprints and drawings.
- Expertise in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, depth, and bore gauges.
- Experience with Fanuc controls.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Level II machinists should have 1-2 years of experience and the ability to set up machines.
- Level III machinists should have 3-7 years of experience, with capabilities to set up and edit machines on 3-5 axis.
- Level IV machinists should have 10+ years of experience working with 5-axis machines and up.

WorkEnvironment
Work in a clean, air-conditioned machine shop environment. Safety is a priority, with steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection required. The job involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is typically loud. The shift is from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, working four 10-hour days with potential availability on Fridays.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Settlement, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
