Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Macro Air Fans, founded by inventor Walter Boyd, pioneered the High-Volume, Low-Speed (HVLS) ceiling fan industry after discovering how improved comfort boosts productivity. Macro Air designs aeronautical-inspired fans for industrial, commercial, and residential environments — improving comfort and air quality while reducing dependence on traditional HVAC systems.
The RoleWe're hiring a Warehouse Specialist to own incoming materials and keep the production line fed. This role sits between receiving and the assembly floor — you're the one making sure the right parts are in the building, counted correctly, and staged where the line needs them, when it needs them.
This isn't a "sit at the dock" role. You'll need to move with urgency and keep inventory honest.
What You'll Own- Receive and verify incoming materials — check shipments against POs, catch discrepancies or damage before they become a production problem.
- Keep inventory accurate — counts and locations in the ERP match physical reality, so nobody’s hunting for parts or double-ordering.
- Pull and stage parts for production — kit and deliver components to the line on schedule, so a missing part never stops the build.
- Keep the warehouse organized, labeled, and audit-ready — no "tribal knowledge" locations
- Support physical inventory and cycle count processes
- Maintain a clean, safe material‑handling environment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
- Production never stops because a part wasn't where it was supposed to be
- Your counts match the system — consistently, not occasionally
- You catch a shortage days before the line needs the part, not the morning of
- You can walk into the warehouse and put your hands on any part in minutes, not "let me look around"
- You communicate problems early and directly — no surprises delivered at the assembly line
- 4+ years in warehouse, inventory, or materials‑handling role,
ideally in manufacturing - Comfortable with ERP/inventory software (
Acumatica or similar) — this isn't a paper-and-memory role - Forklift certified or willing/able to certify
- Strong attention to detail — counts, part numbers, and locations need to be right, not close
- Physically capable of standard warehouse work (lifting, standing, moving material)
- Ability to prioritize under pressure when the production schedule shifts
- Experience with electro‑mechanical or capital‑equipment components (motors, drives, controls)
- Kitting or line‑side material delivery experience
- Exposure to cycle counting / physical inventory processes
- Experience in a lean or fast‑scaling manufacturing environment
- Direct, visible impact — the production floor depends on this role daily
- High‑trust position in a company mid‑scale‑up, with room to shape how materials flow
- Close collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, and Production leadership
- Warehouse and production‑floor based, on your feet most of the day
- Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven — especially during the summer production push
- Some overtime as needed during peak season
