Tube Laser Fabrication Specialist

Summary

The Tube Laser Operator performs advanced production activities requiring a demonstrated high levelof skill and proficiency in material handling, production processes and multiple machine operation acquired through extended experience and trianing.

Job Responsibilities

• Sets up metal fabricating equipment as needed.

• Performs metal fabricating duties using tools (scales, hand tools, calipers,micrometers, etc.) to include:

• ensuring traceablematerial is being used

• selecting appropriate cutting equipment

• hand workinghoneycomb materials

• assembling sheet metal materials

• Operates metal fabricating equipment each day according to engineering/customer specifications and requirements.

• Reads and interpretsblueprints.

• Monitors equipment and performs routine maintenance as needed.

• Applies knowledge ofassembly to perform sheet metal fabrication.

• Applies knowledge ofproper chemical usage, and disposes of all chemicals in a safe andproper manner in accordance with company policy.

• Maintains a cleanwork area on a daily basis.

• Performs quality control inspections on finished product; for ISO-certified locations

• Records ordersaccordingly on software.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Good communication (written and verbal) skillsand the ability to speak read and write Basic English.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

• Must be a self-motivated, dependable, team oriented person with a positive Can Do attitude who can be effectiveunder pressure.

• Ability to work as a team with other personnel assigned to the job

• 2+ years of Operator experience - Laser or Plasma Operator

• Willingness to work overtime.

• Participate in insuring a safe work environment through promoting all company safety policies.

• Ability to bepatient, calm and helpful with internal and external customers toresolve issues in a constructive manner.

• 6 months Forklift Driver experience preferred,but not required

• High School Diploma/GED is preferred, but not required

• Ability to comprehend and implement oral instructions quickly.

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations andto comprehend measurements

• Good eyesight or wear corrective lenses asseeing is essential to the job. Applicant must be able to have clearvision at 20 feet or more and have good depth perception to judgedistance and space relationships.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• Knowledge of compass directions.

• CNC experience
