Machine Operator

** Primary Responsibilities/

Essential Job Functions:

** Utlize proper PPE as required for cell Shared responsibility for finished goods meeting or exceeding customer expectations- - - - Follow directions from drawings, standard work and work instructions. Identify any special instructions or customer requirements

Set up and operate forming cell Packaging product within cell- - - - Certified Inspections. Understand the inspection process (training required)
Proper use of measuring devices, if applicable (measurement training required)- - - - Make labels for product and properly complete production reports.

Adhere to quality standards and guidelines. Maintain accurate records

Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices

Report production issues to Value Stream Team Leader Perform work of an equal or lower classification
** Minimum Qualifications (relevant experience, education and/or training):
** High School Diploma or GED, recognizes International Diplomas (may need to be translated to English)
U.S. Citizen or permanent residency status required

Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Detail Oriented Must be able to read work orders and interpret manufacturing specifications, understand and use shop math, use and interpret measuring instruments (i.e. calipers, micrometers, pi tape, etc.)Must be able to demonstrate ability to operate manufacturing equipment

Must be able to write legibly, read and speak English Must be able to work and communicate with peers

Must be able to adapt to production needs to satisfy customer demands

Basic computer skills preferred

Basic understanding of lean fundamentals preferred
****** Physical & PPE Requirements:
** Standing, sitting, bending, grasping, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), walking, work under normal conditions. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs (85-90 dB) are all required when working in the mfg plant.
