About the role:
A Liquids Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment used in the company's liquids processing/destruction operations. The role involves handling materials, conducting equipment inspections, supporting site operations, and following strict safety and environmental procedures.
What you'll do:
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Move, load, unload, and transport materials and pallets.
- Perform pre-shift inspections and routine equipment maintenance checks.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs when needed.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records of equipment usage, inspections, and incidents.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment in the mining, compost, and/or construction industry.
- Basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Must comply with background check and Drug-free Workplace Policy.
- Compliance with safety regulations as outlined by the Company and OSHA/MSHA.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended time periods.
- Ability to physically lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers / peers in job duties.
- Must be dependable and coachable.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.
- Truck loading and site prep experience are a plus.
