Warehouse Material Coordinator

SUMMARY

Provides shipping and receiving to support projects, maintains inventory control, operates warehouse equipment, and participates in warehouse maintenance and cleaning. Work is performed with a high degree of independence.

• Receives, stores, and issues material and supplies to project sites.
• Loads and unloads supplies material and equipment, places incoming supplies on shelves or in assigned areas, climbs ladders to stock shelves, and keeps the warehouse facility orderly and safe.
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site, performing the following duties:
• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Opens containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
• Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to a designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, forklift, or other device.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys the load to the destination, using hand‑operated crane or hoist, or signals a crane or hoisting operator to move the load to the destination.
• Counts, weighs, and records numbers of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together using a banding machine and clincher.
• Clamps sections of portable conveyors together or places conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate movement of materials or products.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or using a power hoist, and cleans the work area, machines, and equipment using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
• Assembles crates to contain or ship products such as machines or vehicles, using hand tools and pre‑cut lumber.
• Shovels loose materials such as gravel, metals, plastics, or chemicals into wheelbarrows, scrap trucks, or barrels.
• May occasionally operate a forklift, truck, or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and performs other duties as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record within company‑established parameters.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
• 0–2 years of experience.
