DescriptionGD Energy Products is looking for a Machinist to work in Fort Worth, TX.

Job SummarySet up, program and operate various types of CNC machine and/or lathes, to perform operations on individual or quantity production parts, tooling, maintenance, and experimental parts. The schedule is Friday
- Sunday 6 AM - 6 PM CST. All employees on the third shift will be compensated for a full 40 hours.
- Operate fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
- Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors.
- Inspect machinery for any needed repairs; perform minor repairs within expertise.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area.
- Comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain regular attendance and comply with all company policies and rules; overtime, including potential nights and weekend shifts, may be required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Cross‑train other employees to run multiple workstations as needed.
- Show strong work ethic with reliability and dependability.
- Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.
- Ability to read blueprints and plans.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship required or minimum 1‑year experience with CNC boring mill/lathe machines, including proper set up and operation.
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending required.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Occasionally push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Use upper and lower extremities repetitively (including pushing, pulling, grasping and foot controls).
