Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function

Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as to ensure safe production operation during shift.

Production Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
  • Report and maintain inventory levels of production supplies
  • Evaluate department process. Recommend/coordinate needed changes based on process analysis
  • Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals
  • Assist employees with order details/questions
  • 5s development and maintenance
  • Insure flow/order status report
  • Ensure all internal damage issues/cut wrongs are documented & Supervisors take part in all root causes & corrective actions.
  • Equipment maintenance monitoring through Maintenance Connection program
  • Training of employees, new hire and temporary employees.
Safety Responsibilities
  • Employee entry screening per current AMI protocol
  • Facility sanitizing procedures per current AMI protocol
  • Ensures proper and safe storage of inventory
  • Ensures proper housekeeping
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings
  • Conduct and document Tool Box meetings
  • Ensure completion of employee required monthly safety training
  • Active member in Safety Committee
  • Assist in warehouse inspection action items
  • Completes and assists employees with safety observations via Safety Observation Portal
  • Looks for and acknowledges/documents positive safety observations via Safety Observation Portal
  • New Hire/Temp Safety Orientation and training
  • Conducts initial forklift training for required employees
Forklift/Crane Evaluations
  • Annual - documented
  • Ongoing
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist in production as necessary/fill in for Manager in their absence
  • Assist Production Manager with annual employee reviews
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • LANGUAGE

    SKILLS:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • MATHEMATICAL

    SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • REASONING ABILITY: Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • CERTIFICATES: Forklift Certification, Preferred
  • OTHER ABILITIES: Ability to work irregular hours
